Blacksburg, Va. / Chapel Hill, N.C. – The High Point men's and women's track and field teams had a split weekend competing at the Hokie Invite and the Dick Taylor Invitational hosted by schools from the ACC.
Another school record was set over the two days.
Katie Taylor recorded a time of 9:32.35 in the women's 3000m for a first-place finish. Her time becomes the second fastest time in Big South history.

Brianna Malone opened the first night similar to how she did the week before. Racing in the women's one mile, she won her heat with a time of 4:50.79 for another personal best, just one week apart. Malone finished fourth overall. She later competed in the 3000m race with Taylor and finished third with a time of 9:44.37.
In the men's one mile race,
Jason Thomson finished eighth with a time of 4:09.31 while
Graham Ferguson ran a career best 4:13.74.
In the women's 60m dash
, Dae'Nitra Hester registered a new personal best with a time of 7.80 seconds. She competed in the women's 200m on Saturday and ran a season best 224.80 for a fifth-place finish.
For the men,
A'lajuwan Robinson finished third overall in the 60m dash with a time of 6.74, tying his personal best. He competed in the men's 200m race on Saturday and came in fourth with a time of 21.75.
Seeing action from
Reilly Mazzetti, he set a program record in the men's 600m with a time of 1:21.12. On the women's side
Nikki Frail recorded a personal best in the 600m with a time of 1:37.68.
Jake Tarosky finished the men's 3000m race registering a new career best with a time of 8:33.98.
Reid Holloway continues to break barriers in the men's pole vault. After finishing third in last weeks meet at Virginia Tech, he finished first overall clearing a height of 5.01m for a personal best.
After finishing less than a second behind
Marquis Belle, who set the program record last week in the men's 300m,
Kelly Bell set a new record with a time of 35.12 seconds.
On Saturday afternoon,
Auriane Viola was one of three athletes to compete in the women's pole vault, clearing a personal best height of 4.04m.
At the Dick Taylor Invitational, three athletes competed in the men's high jump, and all finished in the top six.
Andrew Taylor took first place with a height of 2.15m,
Shaun Thomas too third with a height of 2.04m and
Alex Constantinou finished sixth with a new career best, 1.95m.
Gianna Paul, a freshman, finished out the meet at UNC running in the women's 60m sprints and recorded a personal best 7.91.
