HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point University women's basketball alumna Nevaeh Zavala has signed a professional contact with Claret Benimaclet, located in Valencia, Spain. She is the first new player to join the club from the United States for the 2026-27 season.

Zavala, a native of Plano, Texas, played all four seasons with the Panthers, appearing in 116 games with 72 starts. The 6'0" forward totaled 833 points, 465 rebounds, collecting 63 steals, and picked up 46 blocks over her career. She recorded a career-high game versus conference opponent Longwood where she tallied 33 points and nine rebounds after going 13-18 from the field to shoot 72.2%.

With 23 steals, 25 blocks, and a 75.6 free throw percentage, Zavala scored a career-high 342 points in a single season in 2024–2025. She was named to the Big South First Team All-Conference and Big South All-Tournament teams following the 2024–2025 regular-season. In 2025-2026, she received the Big South Conference Preseason Player of the Year award and finished the season making the Big South All-Conference Honorable Mention team.

As a powerful and aggressive player, Zavala assisted the Panthers in winning consecutive Big South Championships, taking two trips to the NCAA Tournament,

Zavala joins Aaliyah Collins, Lauren Scott, and Jaleesa Lawrence as Pro Panthers within the past two seasons.
