CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Big South Conference named High Point University's Jason Olivera Jr., of the men's track and field team, the Field Athlete of the Week after competing at the 6th Annual Brant Tolsma meet in the men's pole vault. 

Olivera Jr. registered a new personal best in the men's pole vault after clearing 5.28m with ease on his second attempt. His new height landed him a first place finish. Olivera Jr. won the Brant Tolsma meet in back-to-back seasons in the pole vault in 2025 and 2026. This was the second meet of his career clearing 5.25m.

High Point will compete in the Doc Hale Invitational hosted by Virginia Tech and the Camel City Invite at JDL Fastrack on February 6-7.
