HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's basketball team will welcome UNC Greensboro to the Millis Center on Saturday (Dec. 1) evening. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. in the Millis Center.
 
The Panthers are coming off a 102-50 win over Greensboro Thursday (Nov. 29), while the Spartans fell at Campbell 53-49 Wednesday, Nov. 28.
 
PAW PRINTS
• The Panthers are 106-87 all-time under head coach DeUnna Hendrix. In the Millis Center, Hendrix has a 57-27 record.
 
• HPU is 15-20 all-time against SoCon opponents with the last meeting coming at UNCG last season. HPU came home with an 81-72 win.
 
• Senior Emma Bockrath leads the Purple & White with 18.2 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game.
 
• Bockrath ranks second in the Big South in scoring and steals per game (3.3), fifth in assist/turnover ratio (1.1), eighth in rebounding (7.2) and assists per game (3.2) and sixth in field goal percentage (.449).
 
• Junior Camryn Brown is tops on the team and second in the Big South in assists per game at 4.7.
 
• Brown dished out a season-high nine dime in the win over Mars Hill.
 
• Senior Lindsey Edwards is second in points per game for High Point at 10.5. Edwards also adds 6.0 rebounds per game.
 
• Edwards pulled down a season-high 11 rebounds against Kentucky.
 
• Senior Bria Gibson's 6.5 rebounds per game is second for HPU. Gibson adds 9.8 points per game.
 
• The Panthers rebound by committee with four players averaging 4.7 or more rebounds per game.
 
• High Point averages 72.3 points per game, while holding its opponents to 60.8 points.
 
• Freshman Skyler Curran scored a season-high 21 points in the win against Greensboro. Curran averages 9.5 points in her freshman season.
 
• HPU shoots 40.9 percent (162-396) from the field, while holding its opponents to 36.3 percent (124-342).
 
• The Panthers average 13.8 steals per game. As a team, High Point grabbed a season-high 20 steals against Greensboro.
 
A LOOK AT THE SPARTANS (3-3)
• Nadine Soliman leads the Spartans and the Southern Conference with 20.0 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game.
 
• Alexis Pitchford is tops on the team in assists per game at 3.3. She ranks sixth in the SoCon in the category.
 
• Te'ja Twitty and Aja Boyd average 17.5 and 11.2 points per game for the UNCG, respectively.
 
• The Spartans shoot 39.1 percent from the field, while holding their opponents to 31.2 percent. UNCG has a 31.8 percent average from three and holds its opponents to 20.2 percent.
 
• Twitty adds 8.3 rebounds per game, while Boyd grabs 8.0 boards a game for UNCG.
 
• The Spartans are third in the NCAA in scoring defense only allowing opponents to score 45.8 points per game.
 
• Head coach Trina Patterson is in her third season at the helm for UNCG. She has compiled a 36-36 record during her time at Greensboro. She has a 219-336 overall record after eight season at William & Mary, one season at UMES and eight seasons at Albany.
 
DEUNNA HENDRIX vs. UNCG AND SOCON OPPONTENTS
HPU head coach DeUnna Hendrix is 2-2 all-time against UNCG. She has compiled a 5-6 against SoCon opponents. Hendrix's last matchup with a SoCon team came Dec. 28, 2017 at UNCG, where the Panthers took an 81-72 win.
