HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's basketball team continues its tough early-season road trip against No. 19 West Virginia on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Last time out, the Panthers (1-3) were led by senior Kaylah Key's 14 points in a 75-66 setback at UAB on Tuesday. The Purple & White shot 54 percent from the field in the loss as freshman Camryn Brown and sophomore Lindsey Edwards both posted season-highs with 12 points apiece.

Keys is Climbing
• Senior Kaylah Keys is 38 points from tying Shamia Brown for HPU's Division I scoring record. She also is within striking distance of breaking the D-I record for three-pointers and free throws made.

• The Memphis, Tenn. product is the leading active scorer in the Big South Conference and is 12th among active players nationally.

• The guard also ranks 19th in scoring in Big South history and needs three points to move past Holly Bottar of Coastal Carolina into 18th. Likewise, she needs nine three-pointers to move into the top-10 on the league's three-pointers made list.

Sharp-Shooting Panthers
The Panthers lead the Big South and rank in the top-100 nationally in all three main shooting categories:
            • Field Goal Percentage: .444 (64th)
            • Three-Point Percentage: .354 (81st)
            • Free Throw Percentage: .721 (93rd)

Reserve Impact
• Coming into Sunday, HPU's bench had registered 40 percent of the scoring (104-265) and half the rebounds (79-158) after combining for 35 points and 13 boards at UAB.

• Four of the eight times the Panthers have had a player score in double figures, that player has come off the bench. Edwards has done it twice while Bre Davis and Camryn Brown has each done it once.

Scouting the Mountaineers
During the week, WVU ran through the Savannah Invitational beating North Carolina A&T, East Carolina and Auburn to move to 6-0 on the year. Sophomore Tynice Martin paces the team in scoring with 20.5 points per contest. The Atlanta, Ga. product is shooting nearly 48 percent from the floor and has converted 30-of-31 free throw attempts. While HPU leads the conference and is in the top-100 nationally in the three main shooting categories, the Mountaineers' defense has the third-best field goal percentage defense (.276).
