Game NotesHIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's basketball team makes the trek to College Park, Md. for a showdown with No. 6 Maryland on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
The Panthers (1-1) earned a convincing 82-49 win over Greensboro College to open the season before falling at N.C. State on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Terrapins kicked off their season with a 102-53 triumph over UMass-Lowell on Saturday.
MOVIN' ON UP• Junior
Kaylah Keys chipped in with six points against N.C. State to move past Erin Reynolds for eighth on High Point's Division I scoring list. The Southaven, Miss. native has 1,041 career points.
YOUTH IS SERVED• On Sunday, the Panthers played extended minutes with five freshmen on the floor together.
• Thus far in 2015-16, the Purple & White have had freshmen play 64 percent of the available 400 minutes.

Shea Morgan is tied with Keys for third in minutes played with 42.
HARPER's HOMECOMING• The game serves as a homecoming of sorts for assistant coach
Laura Harper who played at the University of Maryland from (2004-08). The 2006 NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player has her No. 15 jersey retired by the school.
Scouting MarylandMaryland, ranked No. 6 in the AP Poll, is the highest-ranked opponent HPU has played since taking on No. 6 Kentucky on Nov. 17, 2012. The Terrapins are coming off a 36-3 season that saw them win the Big Ten title. Juniors Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough were selected to the preseason All-Big Ten team after playing key roles for the squad last season. However, in the season-opener it was redshirt-senior Brene Moseley who led the squad with 24 point.
ALL-TIME SERIES WITH THE TERRAPINSHigh Point has never met Maryland on the hardwood. The Panthers are 0-3 all-time against the Big Ten including last season's setback at Nebraska.

Kat Harris equaled her career high with 12 points at N.C. State on Sunday. It was the first time Harris led the team in scoring.

Lindsey Edwards has scored 10 points in each of her first to contests in the Purple & White.

Emma Bockrath is making things tough for opposing guards with three steals in each of her first two games at High Point.
• Senior
Aariel Allen, the team's lone senior, has provided toughness for the Panthers through two games leading the team in rebounds in both.
