Charleston Southern erased a 20-point second-half deficit to take a 47-45 lead with 7:37 to go, but the Panthers hit their free throws down the stretch to earn a split of the season series.

High Point scored the game's first seven points and led 20-8 after Jones put back a missed shot at the 13:38 mark. After CSU pulled within 26-20 on a layup by Bryant, the Panthers held the Lady Bucs scoreless for the final 4:51 of the half and opened up a 33-20 halftime lead.

HPU scored 14 straight points spread over more than eight minutes of both halves and led 40-20 after Raven Truslow drained a jumper with 17:10 to play. But CSU built an 18-0 run and kept the Panthers off the board for nearly seven minutes to pull within 40-38 on back-to-back baskets by Wicker at the 11:40 mark.

Charleston Southern tied the score for the first time at 45-45, and took their first lead at 47-45 on a layup by Bryant, but HPU used a free throw and then a bucket by Emily Mills to re-claim the lead for good, 48-47, with 7:37 left.

Katie Ralls (six points, three assists, four steals) was a perfect 4-for-4 from the line in the final minute to seal the win for the Panthers.

CSU held a slim 43-42 edge on the boards, but turned the ball over 21 times. The teams combined for 16 blocked shots. The Lady Bucs' Amanda Ekberg had three points, seven rebounds and four blocks.
