Katie O'Dell scored a team-high 20 points to help High Point defeat host Charleston Southern, 79-68 in Big South Conference action on Saturday afternoon in Charleston, S.C.

The Panthers (13-10, 7-3 Big South) won their third-straight game and cemented their grip on second place in the Big South standings.

Tonya Tripp pitched in a career-high 16 points while Emily Mills, Katie Ralls, and Charlena Martin (six assists) each scored 10 points in the game. Kate Jenner pulled down a career-high and game-high 11 rebounds in the win. A total of five Panthers scored in double figures.

High Point shot 43 percent from the field and pulled down 39 rebounds to Charleston Southern's 34. The Panthers have won nine of their last 12 games.

The Panthers will be back in action on Monday night against host Coastal Carolina. The tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
