High Point made just three field goals in the second half and shot 25 percent overall in a 68-41 loss to Elon Saturday afternoon at the Millis Center.

The Panthers finish the regular season at 16-11 (8-6 in Big South play), and locked up the No. 3 seed in the Big South Tournament. HPU hosts Radford Wednesday night (7:00 pm) in a first-round game.

Charleston Southern's 78-61 loss to Coastal Carolina assured the Panthers of the third seed.

Elon (18-9, 11-3) has locked up the No. 2 seed. Ivey Ghee led all scorers with 14 points off the bench, while Holly Andrews and Anestha Blakeney chipped in 10 points apiece.

Jayme Chikos became the Big South Conference's all-time leader in assists (596 total) with three assists in the game.

High Point's leading scorer was Misty Brockman (seven points).

The Phoenix never trailed, and led by as many as 12 in the first half before taking a 36-26 lead to the break. Elon opened up the second half on a 20-7 run to put things out of reach.

Elon will host either Winthrop or Coastal Carolina Wednesday night at Alumni Gym in a first-round Tournament game, while High Point hosts either Radford or Coastal Carolina. Both games start at 7:00 pm, with the winners moving on to the semifinals Saturday night in Lynchburg, Va.
