Misty Brockman hit a 15-footer from the baseline with :1.1 seconds remaining to lift the visiting Panthers to a 63-61 win over homestanding Charleston Southern in Big South Conference basketball action on Monday night.

Brockman and teammate Mary Brewer led the Panthers (10-12, 5-5 Big South) with 17 points each, with Brockman adding five steals. Stephanie Scott added 12 points for High Point.

Charleston Southern (10-10, 5-4) was led by senior forward Ces Champagne, who recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds, adding seven assists and four steals.

Charleston Southern took a 27-21 lead at the half, but High Point opened the second-half with a 12-6 run to tie the game with 17:55 to play in the contest. Neither team held more than a four-point advantage for the rest of the game. High Point's largest lead was three with 7:35 to play on Gina Rosser's three-pointer.

CSU tied the game at 55 with 5:14 to play on LaRue's three-pointer. The lead went back and forth down the stretch until Littlejohn tied the game at 61-61 with a three-pointer with 29 seconds to go. After a timeout with 15 seconds left, the Panthers held for Brockman`s last shot.

Charleston Southern shot 40 percent from the field, while High Point shot 42.4 percent, including a 55.6 percent clip in the second-half. Each team hauled in 37 rebounds in the contest.
