CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Big South Conference released the first Golfer of the Week awards to start the 2026-27 season, naming High Point Univeristy men's golfer Jace Duckworth as the Golfer of the Week.

In Duckworth's first-ever tournament in the purple and white, the junior transfer was named the individual runner-up at the Augusta Invitational helping guide the Panthers to a second place team placement. He shot a 7-under-209 score after shooting a 71, 67, and 71 in each of the three rounds. His five-under-par 67 in round two matched his collegiate low.

High Point will travel to Destin, Florida on September 14-15 for the 2026 Sandestin Intercollegiate at The Raven Golf Club.
