High Point Rounds Out Tournament at Sandestin Intercollegiate

DESTIN, Fla. – The High Point University men's golf team participated in the Sandestin Intercollegiate for the second consecutive season in Destin, Florida. As a team, the Panthers placed sixth overall with a 7-over-par 847 at the three-day tournament.

"Another solid week for the team!," Head Coach Logan Davis stated. "The course played a lot different this year compared to last year and they handled the change really well. It played pretty difficult all week and the in the final round, there was a strong wind all day. For our first time seeing a strong wind this semester, they handled the challenge extremely well and we had the second lowest round for the day. Jace with back-to-back top five finishes is amazing to see, not just for him but for all of the team, our hard work at home is showing up in competition early. We had an extremely solid round going in the second round, we made it all the way up to second place in that round only one shot back. We didn't finish the second round how we wanted to but that shows how good our team is. We are looking forward to getting to our next event already!"
