NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the 2026 men's lacrosse postseason awards on Wednesday afternoon. Four players from the High Point University men's lacrosse team earned All-Conference awards.
Luca Accardo and
Ryan Hynes were voted to the first team,
Justin Wixted was named to the second team and
Luke Fenderson was named to the All-Rookie team. Hynes was also named to the All-Academic Team.
Luca Accardo | First Team All-Conference
Accardo was a standout performer for the Panthers this past season at the faceoff. He led the league in faceoff wins with 213 (63.8%) and ground balls per game averaging 10.00. With those stats he ranks No. 2 in the country in ground balls per game and No. 5 in the country in faceoff win percentage. He set the program record in ground balls in a single-game with 19 at Delaware and tied his own single-game record with 22 faceoff wins against UMass. Accardo has won multiple awards throughout the season being named a Nike Lacrosse Midseason Media All-American and was voted the A10 Defensive Player of the Week two times. Accardo has rounded out his collegiate career breaking the HPU all-time ground balls record with 363 in his career.
Ryan Hynes | First Team All-Conference | All-Academic Team
During the 2026 season, Hynes started in 10 of the 13 games appeared in as a midfielder. He totaled 21 goals and eight assists for 29 points with a .318 shot percentage. In back-to-back games against Delaware and Saint Joseph's he scored a season-high four goals, helping the Panthers upset the No. 16 Hawks. Adding to his stats he picked up five ground balls. Hynes will earn a degree in Finance with a 3.82 GPA.
Justin Wixted | Second Team All-Conference
Wixted was a key factor in the Panthers, directing the offense throughout each game. Wixted finished second in the league in points and assists, totaling 48 points from 30 assists and 18 goals. He sits tied for 11th in the country in assists per game averaging 2.31 per game. He contributed 4+ points in six different games including a career-high nine points in the season-opener versus VMI with three goals and a career-high six assists. Following the season-opener he was named the A10 Offensive Player of the Week. Adding to his stats he picked up 22 ground balls with a season-high seven versus RMU.
Luke Fenderson | All-Rookie Team
Fenderson appeared in 12 games this season as a rookie. He scored 10 goals and handed out five assists for 15 points. He scored his first collegiate goal at Ohio State and produced three multi-goal games. He added four ground balls and a caused turnover during the season.
As the No. 2 seed, High Point will prepare to play No. 3 seed Saint Joseph's on Thursday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m. in Richmond, Virginia. The game will air on ESPN+.
