HIGH POINT, N.C - The Big South Conference has announced its weekly awards for the week of January 11 through January 18 as High Point University's Macy Spencer was named Player of the Week. This marks her fourth Big South Player of the Week award in her first year playing in the conference. 

With the Panthers mid-week bye, they played one game which saw HPU travel to Longwood University on Saturday, January 17. The Lancers and Panthers went head to head as both teams were 4-0 in conference play at the time. Spencer helped push High Point to a 68-54 victory to gain sole possession of first place in the conference with a 16-2 overall record, and 5-0 in conference play. 

In 39 minutes on the court, Spencer scored 22 points with five assists, four rebounds, two blocks, and one steal as HPU remained unbeaten in Big South play. She recorded 11 points in each half and has now eclipsed 20 points 11 times this season, including five straight contests. 

High Point returns to the Qubein Center on Wednesday, January 21 as WInthrop University comes to town for a 7:00 p.m. tip.
