KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The High Point University men's soccer team has been recognized as a 2024-25 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award Winner as announced by the association Friday.
It's the 15th time the Panthers have earned this award for exemplary performance in the classroom, while it's the sixth consecutive year under HPU Head Coach
Zach Haines.
"Our program has secured this award every year since I began at HPU in 2019," Haines said. "Our standards are very high on and off the field, so we expect this achievement to continue in the classroom. I am proud of our guys for not just settling for a 3.0, rather they are pushing to break records and be the highest men's program in the department each year. And thankfully we have incredible support backing us with April Wines leading the way."
A total of 283 men's soccer teams posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 academic year. Of that total, 151 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized.
HPU has earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award in 2006, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
