HIGH POINT, N.C. – The College Sports Communicators released the 2025 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large teams in mid-June. Of the student-athletes selected, High Point University had five players from the men's lacrosse team earn recognition, including
Colin Cooke,
Ryan Hynes,
Weston Benson,
Scott Moore, and
Justin Wixted.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Cooke, a graduate student from Linwood, New Jersey, started in 12 of the 16 games he appeared in during the 2025 season. He totaled 11 goals and handed out seven assists for 18 points in the midfield. In the A10 semifinals, he scored his first hat trick of his career against Saint Joseph's (May 1). Cooke added 12 ground balls and two caused turnovers during the season. He was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team after finishing with a 3.94 GPA while getting his master's in communication and business leadership.
Hynes, a midfielder from Kildeer, Illinois, appeared in all 16 games with two starts. The junior produced 15 goals and 12 assists during the season to lead the midfield this season. One of his best games was against Robert Morris (Feb. 15), as he dished out a career-high seven assists with one goal for eight points against the Colonials. Hynes registered a career-high four goals in HPU's upset over No. 16 UMass (Apr. 5) and capped the season collecting a game-high four points versus Richmond (May 3) in the A10 Championship. He picked up 10 ground balls and three caused turnovers. Hynes finished the year with a 3.79 GPA and is majoring in finance.
Benson, a junior from Austin, Texas appeared in 15 games as a defender for the Panthers. He tallied 11 ground balls and three caused turnovers, with two multi ground ball games against Navy (Feb.1) and North Carolina (Mar. 21). He is currently majoring in finance with a 3.82 GPA.
Moore, from Trinity, Florida appeared in 15 games as a sophomore and switched between faceoff crew and defensive midfielder. He went 20-53 on the faceoff and registered a career-high five wins versus Robert Morris (Feb. 15). He collected 21 ground balls during the season and picked up a career-high five ground balls versus Robert Morris (Feb. 15). Adding to his stats he also contributed three caused turnovers. Moore has a 3.74 GPA in finance.
Wixted, a sophomore from Limerick, Pennsylvania started in all 16 games in the attack for the Panthers. He led the team and the A10 in assists with 34 on the season averaging 2.13 per game to rank in the Top 20 in the NCAA in assists per game. He recorded a season-high five assists versus Queens (Mar. 11) while adding three goals for eight points. Wixted registered 11 multi-assist games and also added 14 ground balls and two caused turnovers during the season. He was named the A10 Offensive Player of the Week on March 31. Wixted is majoring in sports management and has a 3.73 GPA.
