HPU Finishes Two-Day Tournament at Wexford Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. —The High Point University men's golf team wrapped up its second spring tournament at the Wexford Intercollegiate, hosted by Francis Marion, on Tuesday. Fred Roberts IV secured a top-5 finish to lead the Panthers to a sixth-place team finish at the Wexford Golf Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C.

Head Coach Logan Davis: "Wexford was playing difficult this week; it was a great test of golf. You had to place the ball in proper spots and have a great knowledge of where the wind was coming from. There were a lot of positives to come from this event. I am seeing progress in each player's game, which is nice; I believe our best golf as a whole is out in front of us. Fred played great all week, finishing tied for third. Looking ahead, we are going to touch up some areas in each player's game with the break we have from now until our next event. We are looking forward to our next event, and we are extremely prepared."
