HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — The High Point University men's golf team played in the Wexford Intercollegiate to begin the Panthers' 2026 spring campaign. HPU started the 54-hole tournament on Monday at the Wexford Colf Club and concluded on Tuesday afternoon as Burch Harrison and Shlok Jain both placed inside the top 20.
Head Coach Logan Davis: "I'm proud of the way the guys fought out there. Though our scores may not show it, they showed a ton of heart and never gave up. The course was playing very difficult and they approached the tournament with the proper mindset. I saw lots of positives in each players' game individually, which I think we can take to San Antonio with us next week and capitalize on. Obviously not the start we wanted to have for the spring, but as a team we have a good game plan moving forward and I can't wait to see how we bounce back from this. Burch and Shlok both with a top-20 finish individually was great to see as well. They both played very solid golf and I know not just them, but everyone else on the team with them has a lot left in their tank for this spring."
