High Point Announces 2026 Men's Lacrosse Schedule

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University men's lacrosse team announced its official schedule for the 2026 season on Friday afternoon. The spring slate features 14 contests, which includes nine road tests and five home games – matching up with four top-ranked non-conference opponents. The Panthers will bring VMI and Virginia to the home pitch before Atlantic 10 Conference play begins in mid-March. This is High Points fourth season competing in the A-10 Conference.

The Panthers open the season with two scrimmages, first at home against Lenoir Rhyne on January 17 at 1:00 p.m. and then on the road at Duke on January 24 at 1:00 p.m.

Opening the regular season on January 31, High Point will travel to Navy for the second time in program history for the fourth matchup between the two teams. The game is set to start at 12:00 p.m.

The Panthers will return home for the home-opener against VMI on Saturday, February 7 at 12:00 p.m. A season-ago the Panthers won in overtime at VMI 12-11 with an Owen Bunten goal.

High Point begins a four game road series first traveling to North Carolina on Friday, February 13 for the 10th meeting with the Tar Heels. The game is set for 12:00 p.m. in Chapel Hill. The Panthers then travel to Big Ten opponent Ohio State on Saturday, February 21 for their first matchup with the Buckeyes in program history at 12:00 p.m.

HPU has a quick turnaround with a matchup on Monday, February 23 at Robert Morris at 12:00 p.m. This will be the 11th meeting between the teams and High Point's fifth trip to Pennsylvania. The Panthers round out the four game road trip against Jacksonville at neutral site Georgia Southern on Saturday, February 28. High Point and Jacksonville have matched up every season (except the 2020 season due to the Covid 19 pandemic) since the lacrosse program began in 2013. The game is set for 1:00 p.m.

High Point hosts Virginia for a mid-week matchup on March 3 at 5:00 p.m. The last time the Panthers welcomed the Cavaliers to Vert Stadium was in 2018. This will complete the non-conference slate.

The Panthers open Atlantic 10 conference play at home against UMass on Saturday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m. High Point will then travel to Delaware to play the Blue Hens in their inaugural season in the A-10 on Saturday, March 21 at 12:00 p.m. HPU and Delaware have met four times prior to the Blue Hens joining the A-10.

HPU remains on the road for a matchup at St. Joseph's on Saturday, March 28 at 1:00 p.m.

The month of April kicks off with a home game against St. Bonaventure on Saturday, April 4 at 1:00 p.m. before traveling for a non-conference game at Cornell, the reigning 2025 National Champions, who posted an overall record of 18-1 last season. The game is set for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13. The Panthers and Big Red have met one-time prior, back in 2020 at Schoellkopf Field.

High Point rounds out A-10 play with a home game against Richmond, the reigning A-10 Tournament Champions, on Friday, April 24 at 5:00 p.m.

The A-10 Championships take place at host site, Richmond, beginning on April 30 with the semifinals and May 2 for the Championship game. The top four teams in the regular-season will secure a bid to the A-10 Championships.
