DURHAM, N.C. — High Point University competed at the Rod Myers Invitational, hosted by Duke University, Sunday through Tuesday. The High Point men's golf team finished ninth in a competitive field under the new leadership of head coach
Logan Davis. Freshman
Shlok Jain led the group with yet another top-16 finish.
Head Coach Logan Davis: "After two tournaments with the team, I am learning more about each individual player's game. I feel that the team is beginning to know me as well. I am very proud of how the guys handled themselves when it got tough. No one ever gave up at any point and I couldn't be more proud of that. I have seen progress from each player in the short period of time I have been able to spend with them, showing the coachability of these players. We had an excellent third round as a team and I feel this is the building block for our remaining Fall season. Prior to the Oregon State tournament, we plan to work on the little things that will help us move up the leaderboard."
