BALTIMORE, Md. - Inside Lacrosse announced its 2024 Media All-Americans on Sunday night naming High Point men's lacrosse player, Brayden Mayea to the honorable mention team. Mayea earns his first All-American honor after being named a 2024 Midseason All-American in the beginning of April.

Mayea had another record-breaking year during the 2024 season. Starting 15 games, he led the team in four different statistical categories. He finished the season with a program single season record 46 goals to lead the league. He ranked sixth among all NCAA Division I players in goals per game averaging 3.07 after recording a hat trick or more in eight of the 15 games. Mayea has also led the team in points (67), shots (111) and shots on goal (70). He posted a .415 shot percentage and .631 shot on goal percentage. Adding to his stats, Mayea finished third on the team in ground balls with 45 and had four caused turnovers. He has broken three program records this season, becoming the all-time leader in career goals with 168 and set two single-game records versus VMI after scoring a career-high eight goals and 11 points. Mayea was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List (Mar. 7) and an Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American. He was named an Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week on three occasions and named to the USILA/Blatant Lacrosse Team of the Week on February 20. In the Atlantic 10 tournament, he was named to the All-Tournament team.

Inside Lacrosse's Media All-America list was voted on by media members who vote in the weekly Media Poll.

Each voter selected up to four teams of players featuring three attackmen, three midfielders, a face-off specialist, two shortstick d-middies, an LSM, three defenders and a goalie. 

Votes were tabulated and sorted into three teams, with remaining players who received a significant share of votes added to the honorable mention list. 

Voting was completed after the conference tournaments and before the NCAA First Round.
