HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point University Women's Lacrosse Head Coach Lyndsey Boswell has released a statement regarding her recent health diagnosis.
 
"I am so grateful for the support that's coming in right now," Boswell said. "My heart is overflowing. My faith is strong, and I'm looking forward to facing the treatments head on and putting this behind me as soon as possible. In the meantime, my priorities remain with my family and my team.

"My staff is fully prepared, and our players are excited for a championship season. We will take all the support you can give."
 
As Boswell begins her fight with cancer, she will remain coaching this spring. The program's first and only coach is focused on her team and family as she leans on her faith during this time.
 
HPU is in full support of Coach Boswell and will do everything to uplift her and the women's lacrosse program.
 
"Lyndsey Boswell is a champion in every aspect and the entire HPU Family is ready to support Lyndsey and our women's lacrosse student-athletes," HPU Vice President and Athletics Director Dan Hauser said. "We look forward to helping Lyndsey win this health fight and chase down her 13th conference championship!"
