"I'm disappointed with our result this week, specifically because I don't feel like it reflects the quality of golf we've played leading into this tournament. We had a few nice individual rounds, but we need everyone to play 54 complete holes to contend for wins. I think we will learn how to do that by the end of the season."

Charlie Barr was the only Panther to shoot under par in the first round. Barr shot a 2-under par 70 to, good for a tie for sixth after the first 18 holes. Barr made four birdies and two bogeys.
Alan Smith bounced back on his second nine of the first round. After two double bogeys and two birdies on his first nine, Smith recovered by shooting even par on the second nine, birding his final hole of round one to finish the first 18 holes at a 2-over par 74.

Gregor Meyer revived his day in round two. Meyer played the first nine holes of the second round at three under par, a span that included four birdies and just one bogey. The redshirt junior played the final 15 holes of the second round bogey-free to shoot a 3-under par 69. He ended day one at three over par overall, good for a tie for 22
nd. Once again, Smith bounced back on his second nine in round two. Smith capped off his day with a birdie on the final hole to shoot even par on the final nine holes, finishing day one in a tie for 26
th.
