HPU Finishes Xavier Invitational

CINCINNATI, Ohio — The High Point University men's golf team wrapped up play Tuesday afternoon after 54 holes.

Gregor Meyer led the Panthers at Xavier, shooting the second-lowest round of the tournament in the third, carding 4-under 66. The senior finished with a 214 total to place T10. Burch Harrison was next for High Point, finishing with a 224 total, good for T38.

Charlie Barr appeared in his first tournament this season, scoring 229 to place T48. Freshman Miller Carr was only two above Barr, carding a 231 total placing him 56th. Jay Smith rounded out the lineup for the Panthers, securing a 67th place finish with a 246 total.

Up Next: The Panthers travel to South Carolina to participate in the Furman Invitational, which is scheduled to tee-off the morning of Sunday, Oct. 22.
