The High Point men's lacrosse will play their SoCon home opener on Friday (April 8) night as they host the Keydets of VMI. The first faceoff is set for 7 pm.   

Matchup History

  • HPU has a perfect 7-0 record against VMI
  • The Panthers and the Keydets have met every season since 2014.
  • The two teams met once in the 2021 season; the Panthers came out with a 20-12 regular season win

The High Point University men's lacrosse team dropped their SoCon opener to Jacksonville, 14-13, on Saturday (April 2) afternoon. Brayden MayeaMichael Ippolito, and Jack Vanoverbeke scored two goals apiece.

Asher Nolting now has 322 career points and sits 9th all-time in career points in College Lacrosse. He is 78 points away from Lyle Thompson in first who accumulated 400 points during his time in Albany. 

Ippolito's Impact

Prior to his senior season, Michael Ippolito had four goals in his career. Through 11 games he has scored 14 goals on the year and had four goals in the win against Navy. 

Since the Beginning of Time

Nolting has recorded at least one point in every college game he has ever played in. He is one of five active DI players to achieve this feat heading into 2022. His goals-assists points line looks like this: 134-188-322.

One Viner

Hunter Vines received the first All-Southern Conference honor of his career in January. The senior played in all 14 games last season and started in nine, finishing the year with 14 goals and 12 assists. Vines scored two goals in the Panthers' 11-9 semifinal win.
