HIGH POINT, N.C.--
 High Point University men's soccer Head Coach Zach Haines has announced the 2021 fall schedule as HPU looks to defend both of its 2020-21 Big South titles. HPU ended the 2020-21 season ranked in all three national polls and looks to build off that success with its upcoming 2021 campaign. The Panthers will play 19 games this season, with three of them making up the preseason, an eight-game Big South slate, and eight non-conference contests. HPU will see three ACC opponents and a Big Ten opponent as well as teams from the Ivy League, Atlantic 10, Sun Belt, SoCon, and the Colonial. High Point fans will have ten chances to see The Panthers inside Vert Stadium this fall. 

"We are excited about the fall schedule", coach Haines said about the HPU fall slate. "It is a great balance of challenging home and away games. Our goal is always to play the highest-level schedule we can. Our staff and student-athletes are looking forward to it."

High Point opens up the season with three exhibition preseason games in Vert Stadium with Montreat College on Friday, August 13th. Duke on Tuesday, August 17th and will wrap up the preseason on Saturday, August, 21st as HPU welcomes the College of Charleston.

HPU opens the regular season on the road against in-state foe Davidson on Thursday, August 26th. It will be the first time The Panthers have faced the Wildcats since 2018. High Point will host Coastal Carolina on Sunday. The Panthers will take on Coastal for the first time since 2015 when HPU defeated #15 in the nation CCU in penalties in the first round of the Big South Tournament. 

On Thursday, September 2nd High Point will see its second ACC opponent of the season and first of the regular season slate with a 7:00 showdown in Klockner against Virginia for the third meeting ever between the two sides. The two previous games against the Cavaliers have been decided by one goal. HPU faces the Hoos for the second time in three seasons last playing them in 2019. The Purple & White then return home to Vert Stadium for two more non-conference matchups as they welcome the colonial's Elon and the Ivy League's Cornell. HPU faces Cornell on Tuesday, September 7th, and on Wednesday, September 15th High Point welcomes Elon. 

On Monday, September 20th The Panthers travel to the home state of the Abril brothers to face Maryland in College Park, Md. This is the first-ever meeting between HPU and Maryland. Later that week on Friday, September 24th Big South play starts as High Point welcomes the Blue Hose of Presbyterian College. The following weekend HPU makes their way south to Boiling Springs, N.C. to play the Runnin' Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb on Saturday, October 2nd. On Wednesday, October 6th, Vert Stadium plays host to a rematch of the 2021 Big South Tournament Championship game as USC Upstate returns to the triad. On Saturday, October 9th High Point makes the trip up to Farmville to face Longwood.

HPU takes a quick break from Big South to play on Tuesday, October 12th as it takes a trip to the state's capital to challenge ACC opponent NC State. It will be The Panthers' first time seeing the Wolfpack since 2016, HPU leads the series 3-2-1.

That weekend HPU plays Radford on Saturday, October 16th on the road as Big South play resumes. On Wednesday, October 20th HPU plays its last non-conference game of the season against Wofford in Spartanburg, S.C. 

High Point returns to Vert Stadium for HPU's last two home Big South contests of the regular season. HPU hosts Winthrop on Saturday, October 23rd, and Campbell for senior night on Saturday, October 30th. The Panthers conclude the regular season with a trip to Asheville to face UNCA on Wednesday, November 3rd. 

The Big South tournament starts on Sunday, November 7th with the Big South quarterfinals, followed then by the Big South Semifinal, on November 10th, with the Big South Championship final being held on Sunday, November 14th.
