Matchup History

  • High Point is 5-3 all-time against Mercer. The last HPU win came in 2019 at Five Star Stadium in Macon, Georgia as Asher Nolting recorded a career-high five goals and broke the single-season scoring record during that game as well. Dalton Sulver also had a good game scoring a career-high five points and four goals.

Across the Bench

  • Mercer's points leader is Senior Michael Quinn with 21 points on the season so far. Quinn's best performance of the season so far was against The University of Utah where he recorded a season-high 6 points (3 goals and 3 assists).
  • Will McCarthy leads the Bears in goals with 17. The senior scored a season-high 4 goals against Cleveland State.

Panther Notes

In their last game against Bellarmine, Brayden Mayea and Kevin Rogers both led the panthers in goals scoring 3 goals each. Senior, Tyler Stinson also scored his first goal on the season.

Nolting does it all

Nolting is now 3rd in the nation for average points per game, total assists, and average assists per game. Nolting has 29 total assists on the season and averages 3.62. Nolting assists per game average skyrocketed from 3.00 to 3.62 just after the game against Bellarmine. He is also currently tied for 6th in the nation in total points.

Always count on Mr. Rogers!

Kevin Rogers is the only panther to record at least one goal in every game on the season so far. Rogers has scored a season-high 4 goals twice this year (against Robert Morris and VMI) and has scored 3 goals in 3 different games this year (twice against North Carolina and once against Bellarmine).

Numerals Do Lie

Rogers is featured in a two-page story in this month's issue of US Lacrosse Magazine. The story explores Rogers' journey from Lynchburg (DIII) to High Point.

Where the Panthers rank

The Panthers are ranked 7th in the nation in man-up offense with a percentage of .485 and also tied for second in extra-man offense goals.

Highly Efficient
