The High Point University's women's lacrosse team (4-6) (2-0) makes the trip to Farmville, Va. to face Big South opponent Longwood on Wednesday (April 14) afternoon at 4:00 PM. The game will be streamed on ESPN+. The Panthers are coming off of a performance where they defeated Winthrop 17-11 on senior day.

Hormes For Tewaaraton
Hormes was named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch list again this season last month. The Tewaaraton is awarded to the top male and female in college lacrosse each season. Hormes has scored the tenth most goals in the nation with 41 on the year. She averages 4.10 goals per game which is the tenth best average in the nation.
Hormes Earns Big South Honors
Hormes tied the HPU program record for goals in a single game with eight goals in the winning effort over Campbell, tying Allie Foard's long-standing total. Hormes set a career-high in goals with eight. Hormes followed up her eight-goal performance against Campbell by scoring seven to lead the team over Winthrop. Hormes scored 15 goals this week.
Offensive Explosion
The output of 23 goals against Campbell for The Panthers is the fourth most goals in a single game by a High Point team.
Sister, Sister
Last week Katie Hormes scored the first goals of her Panther career. In two Big South games last week the Hormes sisters combined for 20 goals.
Three Game week
This week the Panthers will face Longwood on Wednesday, Radford on Saturday, and Liberty on Sunday. Radford and Liberty will both be hosted inside Vert Stadium.
ESPN'S #LaxTop5 High Point Heavy
Both Foster and Zeto have been showcased in ESPN's #LaxTop5 which highlights the top five plays in women's lacrosse that week and is shown during the women's lacrosse game of the week on the ESPN networks. Foster's shovel goal against Vanderbilt was number one two weeks ago, while Zeto's diving save against Coastal where she made a stop then dove backward and stopped the ball from rolling in was five last week.
Panthers Nationally Impactful
High Point is seventh in the nation in ground balls this season as the Purple & White average 21.25 per game. The HPU defense is fourth in the nation in caused turnovers with 11.38 per game.

Abby Hormes picked up her 200th career point against Davidson. She has 51 points on the seasonThe senior is currently second all-time in points with 234 points.

Ashley Britton is second in scoring in goals with 33 on the season. Britton is making the most of her fifth season as a graduate student with an impressive stat line, she has 33 goals, seven assists, 21 ground balls, and 34 draw controls.
