The High Point University's women's lacrosse team is spending the beginning of HPU's spring break in Nashville to take on Vanderbilt (3-2) at 1:00 PM on Sunday (March 7th). The Panthers challenge the Commodores on the road following a heart-breaking overtime result against Davidson. The Panthers are coming off of two straight overtime contests.

Senior Abby Hormes is one goal away from becoming the all-time goal-scoring leader for HPU. She enters Sunday's contest with 148 goals as she is currently tied with Erica Perrotta.Â

Abby Hormes picked up her 200th career point against Davidson in her last time out. The senior is currently second all-time in points with 201.

High Point is third in the nation in ground balls this season as the Purple & White have scooped up 110 on the season.

Mena Loescher leads HPU in assists with seven helpers on the season. Loescher is fourth in the Big South in assists with seven.

Megan Nerney already has a team-leading 24 draw controls through three games. Nerney is fourth in the conference in draw controls.
Spring Break Slate
This week during HPU's spring break, the Panthers are on a two-game road stretch where HPU will face Vanderbilt in Nashville on Sunday (March 7th). Then on Thursday HPU faces Duke in Durham (March 11th).
