The #15 High Point University men's lacrosse team travels to Chapel Hill for its second straight contest against #1 North Carolina on Saturday (Feb. 27). The Panthers took it down to the wire on national television on Tuesday, (Feb. 16) as the Panthers fell just short 17-15. The game will be played in Kenan Memorial Stadium and will be aired on ACC Network Xtra. First face-off will take place at 1:00 PM.
Matchup History
- This will be the fifth meeting between the two sides, HPU is seeking their first win against the Tar Heels.
- The last time the two met was less than two weeks ago on February 16th, where Asher Nolting went off for nine points tying his career-high in points. UNC survived 17-15.
Across the Bench
- The Tar Heels are led on offense by Chris Gray, the senior already has 14 goals on the season after just four games.
- UNC is led by national championship-winning coach Joe Breschi, who coached Torpey when he played at Ohio State.

Mr. Consistent
Nolting is coming off of a monster game against UNC where he had nine points which tied his career-high as a Panther. After his nine-point performance against UNC, he is currently second in the nation in points per game averaging 8.00. Nolting tied his career-high of points in a single game with nine. Nolting had four goals and a team-best five assists. Nolting is the first HPU player to receive SoCon weekly honors this season. Nolting has recorded a point in 40 straight games a streak that dates back to his freshman season.

Mr. Kevin Rogers has been outstanding so far just two games in as a High Point Panther. Rogers is tied for second in goals for HPU as he has the same amount as Nolting with seven. Through two games the grad transfer is garnering national attention, Rogers was featured in a US Lacrosse story that was released on Friday morning.Â

Junior goalie Antonio Arcona set his career-high in saves against one of the most lethal offenses in the country in the Tar Heels. Arcona made 18 saves last time out against UNC.Â
200 Club
Last time out against UNC Nolting recorded his 200th career point as a Panther. Nolting currently has the 14th most points of any active player across all divisions of men's lacrosse. Â

The freshman Brayden Mayea has been fantastic for the Panthers since joining the team. Mayea leads HPU in goals this season with eight on year through only two games. The newcomer leads the entire nation in shooting percentage with a percentage of .727
