HIGH POINT, N.C.—High Point University men's lacrosse coach Jon Torpey has announced the 2022 schedule for the reigning SoCon Champions. The Panthers will play 14 games this season, with nine non-conference games, and a full five-game SoCon slate including new edition Hampton. HPU will host four of its non-conference games while hosting two SoCon games. The Purple and White will host seven home games this season and Vert Stadium will be the site of the 2022 SoCon Tournament. High Point has played at least one ACC school since the inception of the Panther program that streak continues this season with three ACC opponents on the 2022 schedule.

"The 2022 schedule presents a great opportunity for our team to compete against many of the top programs in the nation,' Coach Jon Torpey said about the 2022 campaign. "This year we have some new faces and some familiar foes. I know that our 2022 team is excited about what lies ahead."
HPU starts the season the same way they did in 2020 with a trip to College Park, Md. on Saturday, February 5th to face volunteer coach Bryce Young's alma mater, Maryland. This will be the fifth meeting of HPU and UMD.
For the first time in Program history, High Point will face Colgate in the rare Vert night game home on Friday, February 11th.
For the sixth season in a row, High Point will face UVA in the Panther's third straight trip to Charlottesville on Sunday, February 13th. Last season HPU nearly took down the Hoos 12-11. Brayden Mayea, Dalton Sulver, and Kevin Rogers all had two goals as the Panthers stormed back to nearly defeating UVA.
North Carolina will travel to Vert Stadium on Saturday, February 19th. It will be HPU's first time hosting the Tar Heels since 2014. Last season including an exhibition the Tarheels and Panthers played three times, including the thrilling 17-15 contest where Carolina was able to just get by HPU. Asher Nolting and Mayea combined for ten goals in the game.
High Point will head back to Maryland on February 26th this time to play Navy in Annapolis. It will be HPU's first time playing Navy.
On Tuesday, March 1st High Point will host Duke in a matchup that feels Anish, Paul, and Quint worthy. The Tuesday night matchup will be a rematch of HPU's NCAA First Round contest last season against Duke.
On Saturday, March 5th High Point hosts former SoCon foe Bellarmine.
HPU completes non-conference play with an away trip to Robert Morris on March 12th then a home contest with Detroit Mercy on March 26th after a week off.
SoCon play begins as HPU travels down to Jacksonville this season in a rematch of the 2021 SoCon Semifinal on Saturday, April 2nd. On April 8th the Keydets of VMI make the trip to High Point for the first time since 2019.
April 15th will be the first-ever meeting between Hampton and High Point. On April 23rd, HPU hosts Richmond for the first time since 2019 in a rematch of the 2021 SoCon Championship where HPU was victorious 11-8.
HPU concludes the regular season in Georgia to play Mercer on April 30th. Vert Stadium will host the SoCon tournament May 5th-7th.
