HIGH POINT, N.C.—The No. 25 High Point University women's lacrosse team continues Big South Conference play by hosting Campbell on Wednesday (April 10). First draw at Vert Stadium is set for 4 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
 
Last time out, the Panthers had a record-breaking day in a 26-3 win over Presbyterian. HPU broke its program record and tied the Big South mark for goals with 26 and set High Point and Big South records in assists (20), points (46) and draw controls (26).
 
Sophomore Abby Hormes set a career high with 10 points, tied for the second-most points in single-game HPU history. Hormes scored four goals and added a career-high six assists. Hormes was named Big South Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season for her efforts.
 
Senior Emory Gaeng tied a career high with six points on three goals and three assists, while fellow senior Maggie Williams, playing in her first game this season, posted a career-high six points with a goal and five assists. Senior Allie Little tied her career high with five points on four goals and an assist.
 
Junior Ashley Britton and Hormes are tied for the conference lead with 39 goals (28th in the nation). Hormes leads the Big South with 23 assists (31st in the nation) and has a shot percentage of .574, which ranks 18th in the nation.
 
Hormes is two goals away from 100 for her career, while Gaeng is one point away from 100 career points. Senior Samantha Herman, who the program record holder in draw controls with 212, is three points away from 100 career points.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
This will be the 10th all-time meeting between the programs, with High Point leading the series, 9-0. HPU won the last matchup, 12-5, on May 4, 2018 in the Big South Tournament.
 
ON THE FIGHTING CAMELS
Campbell enters this matchup with a record of 4-8 and a 1-1 record in Big South Conference play. Their last matchup was a 13-12 overtime loss to Winthrop on Wednesday (April 3) in Buies Creek. Annie Pazulski leads the team points leader with 35 as well as the leader in assists with 18. Melissa Placek leads the team in goals with 22.

Big South play marches on for the Panthers as they travel to Radford on Saturday (April 13). First draw in Radford, Va., is set for 1 p.m.
