HIGH POINT, N.C.—The No. 24 High Point University women's lacrosse team hosts Presbyterian on Saturday (April 6). First draw at Vert Stadium is set for 3 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Before the game, the Panther seniors will be honored in a brief ceremony.
 
Last time out, the Panthers won on the road at Gardner-Webb, 24-4, on Wednesday (April 3). The 24 goals tied the second-most scored in HPU single-game history. Sophomore Abby Hormes led HPU with eight points on five goals and three assists, while junior Ashley Britton added five points on four goals and an assist.
 
Hormes leads HPU with 52 points, 17 assists and 41 draw controls, and is second with 35 goals. Britton paces the Purple & White with 36 goals. Redshirt junior Meredith Chapman leads the squad with 29 caused turnovers and 31 ground balls and is second with 37 draw controls. In goal, sophomore Sarah Zeto is 7-4 with a .433 save percentage.
 
Seniors Samantha Herman and Emory Gaeng are closing in on 100 career points, with Herman having 95 and Gaeng currently at 93. Hormes is close to 100 career goals, coming into Saturday with 94.
 
Herman holds the school record for draw controls with 208, while Britton is second with 139. Chapman has moved into the top five in career caused turnovers with 81.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
This will be the 11th meeting between High Point and Presbyterian, with HPU leading the series, 10-0, The Panthers won the last matchup between, 19-1, in Clinton, S.C., on April 11, 2018.
 
ON THE BLUE HOSE
The Blue Hose enter this matchup with a 1-11 record and 0-2 in Big South competition. The Blue Hose are coming off a 25-3 defeat at the hands of Radford on Wednesday (April 3). Sarah Marshall leads the team in points with 27 and is also the team leader in goals with 20 and assists with seven.

Big South play continues for the Panthers on Wednesday (April 10) as the they host Campbell. First draw at Vert Stadium is set for 4 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
