HIGH POINT, N.C. – The No. 11 High Point University men's lacrosse team will travel to Louisville, Ky. to take on Southern Conference (SoCon) foe Bellarmine on Saturday, April 20. The opening face-off is set for 12 p.m.
 
The Panthers are coming off a win at Mercer, while the Knights beat Furman last week.
 
All-Time Series with Bellarmine
• The series between the Panthers and Knights is tied 3-3. HPU took a 15-7 win over Bellarmine on March 17 in the last meeting between the two teams.
 
Paw Prints
• Sophomore Asher Nolting became the only player in SoCon and HPU history to record a 30-goal, 30-assist season with 30 goals and 36 assists in 2018.
 
• Nolting is fourth in the NCAA in points per game at 5.82 and sixth in assists per game at 3.27.
 
• The Greenwood Village, Colo., native leads the SoCon in points per game and assists per game.
 
• Nolting broke the SoCon and HPU single-season points record with his 67th point of season. He currently has 69 points (33G, 36A).
 
• The sophomore attackman native has scored at least two points in 25-straight games. He has logged 130 total points (63 goals, 72 assists) over that span.
 
• Senior Tim Troutner Jr. leads the Panthers in the cage and averages 12.33 saves per game, which is second in the conference and 21st in the nation.
 
• The Annapolis, Md. native is second in the SoCon and ranks 15th in the NCAA in save percentage at .548. He is also third in the league and 31st in the nation in goals against average at 10.77.
 
• Troutner is second in the SoCon in save percentage (.548) and saves per game (12.33). He ranks third in goals against average (10.77).
 
• Junior Davis Sampere leads the Panthers in the face-off 'X' with a .568 percentage with 146 wins. He ranks third in face-off percentage in the SoCon.
 
• Sampere is 19th in the nation in ground balls per game at 6.67.
 
• Sampere is tops in the SoCon in ground balls (6.67).  He is third in the league in faceoff percentage at .568.
 
• Senior Chris Young is tops on the team with 36 goals. He is second in the nation in shot percentage at .610 and 14th in goals per game at 3.00.
 
• Young is second in the nation in shot percentage at .610 and tied for 14th in goals per game at 3.00.
 
• The Oakville, Ontario native is second in the SoCon in goals per game at 3.00.
 
• The Panthers rank fourth in the NCAA in ground balls (38.33) and in scoring offense (14.75), fifth in scoring margin (3.92) and in shot percentage (.346), seventh in points per game (22.25) and eighth in caused turnovers (10.33).
 
• HPU is 12th in clearing percentage (.871), 15th in assists per game (7.50), 20th in saves per game (13.08) and 25th in face-off winning percentage (.557).
 
• As a team, the Panthers lead the SoCon in ground balls (38.33), points per game (22.25), shot percentage (.346), man-down goals (0.17), shots on goal per game (25.50), assists per game (7.50) and goals per game (14.75).

• Riley Seay leads Bellarmine with 25 goals and 33 points this season.
 
• Seay is seventh in the SoCon with 2.27 goals per game.
 
• Ian Miller is first on the team with 14 assists. He is seventh in the SoCon at 1.27 assists per game.
 
• Josh Wehn and J.T. Simonton have grabbed a team-high 29 ground balls each for the Knights on the season.
 
• J.T. Simonton leads Bellarmine in face-off wins with 58, while Turner Lockyear is tops on the team in face-off percentage at .486.
 
• Jordan Dondoyano leads the Knights in the cage with a 13.15 goals against average. He has 139 saves on the year.
 
• Dondoyano is first in the SoCon and seventh in the NCAA in saves per game at 13.90. He is third in the SoCon in save percentage at .521.
 
• The Knights lead the conference in saves per game at 14.00.
 
• As a team, Bellarmine scores 10.36 goals per game, dish out 6.45 assists, grab 26.82 ground balls and log 37.64 shots per game.
 
• Head coach Jim Mitchell is in his first season as head coach of the Knights. He has compiled a 3-8 record during his time in Louisville, Ky.
