HIGH POINT, N.C.—The High Point University women's lacrosse team travels to Radford for a Big South matchup Saturday (April 13). First draw from Radford, Va., is set for 1 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
 
Last time out, the Panthers (10-4, 4-0 Big South) defeated Campbell, 21-7, Wednesday afternoon at Vert Stadium. Sophomore Rachel Foster scored a career-high seven goals on eight shots. Her seven goals were the second-most in HPU single-game history. Foster ended with a career-high nine points.
 
Freshman Mena Loescher scored a season-high five goals on five shots, while sophomore Abby Hormes added three goals and two assists. Hormes' second goal was the 100th of her career.
 
In goal, sophomore Sarah Zeto was one save shy of the program record, making 15 stops, including 10 in the first half.
 
The Panthers are up to sixth in the nation in both scoring offense (16.5 goals per game) and scoring margin (+7.5 goals per game).
 
Hormes is 10th in the nation in points (67), 23rd in goals (42) and 28th in assists (25). Redshirt junior Meredith Chapman is 12th in nation in caused turnovers (2.36 per game).
 
Seniors Samantha Herman and Emory Gaeng are both one point shy of 100 career points.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
This is the fourth all-time meeting between the two programs, with High Point leading the series, 3-0. HPU won the last matchup, 21-5, at Vert Stadium on March 31, 2018.
 
ON THE HIGHLANDERS
Radford enters this matchup with a 3-8 record overall and is 2-1 in Big South Conference play. Their last game was a 16-15 loss to Longwood in Farmville, Va., on Saturday (April 6). Emma Rogers leads the team with 39 points. She also leads the team in assists with 15, while Lindsey Carroll leads the team in goals with 28.
 
UP NEXT 
The Panthers return to Vert Stadium for the final home regular season game on Wednesday (April 17) against Liberty. First draw is set for 6 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
