HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University men's lacrosse team will conclude the nonconference schedule as it welcomes UMBC to Vert Stadium. The opening face-off is set for 11 a.m.
 
The series is tied 1-1 between the Panthers and the Retrievers. High Point took a 17-15 win in Vert Stadium on March 15, 2014 in the last meeting between the teams.

• Sophomore Asher Nolting is tied for seventh in assists per game at 3.00 and 16th in the NCAA in points per game at 5.17.
 
• The Greenwood Village, Colo., native leads the SoCon in points per game and assists per game.
 
• Nolting is second in the conference in assists (3.00) and points per game (5.17).
 
• Senior Tim Troutner Jr. leads the Panthers in the cage and averages 13.50 saves per game, which is third in the conference and 15th in the nation.
 
• The Panthers posted the first shutout in program history when they did not allow St. Bonaventure to score to open the 2019 season.
 
• The Annapolis, Md. native is second in the SoCon and ranks 11th in the NCAA in save percentage at .570. He is third in the league and 24th in the nation in goals against average at 10.10.
 
• Junior Davis Sampere leads the Panthers in the face-off X with a .523 percentage with 69 wins.
 
• Senior Chris Young is tops on the team with 18 goals.
 
•Junior Ben Baker has posted four hat tricks on the season.
 
• Nolting and Troutner Jr. were named to the 2019 Tewaaraton Watch List. Nolting was added to the list last season. This is Troutner's first time on the list.
 
• Nolting native has scored at least two points in 19-straight games. He has logged 97 total points (43 goals, 54 assists) over that span.
 
• Young scored four goals in each of the first two games of the 2019 season and added a third four-goal game against RMU. He has scored at least one goal in 18-straight games. The senior has scored 36 goals over that span.
 
• The Panthers rank fifth in the NCAA in ground balls (38.50) and fifth in caused turnovers (11.00), 13th in scoring margin (3.17) and man-down defense (.783), tied for 15th in scoring offense (13.33), tied for 19th in saves per game (13.50) and 24th in scoring defense (10.17).
 
• Troutner posts a 10.10 goals against average, which is 24th in the NCAA. He is also 11th in save percentage at .570 and 13th in saves per game at 13.50.
 
• Troutner is second in the SoCon in save percentage (.570) and third in goals against average (10.10) and saves per game (13.50).
 
• Sampere is 18th in the nation in ground balls per game at 6.83.
 
• Young posts the second-best shot percentage in the NCAA at .630.
 
• Sampere is tops in the SoCon in ground balls (6.83).  He is second in the league in faceoff percentage at .523.
 
• Young is second in the SoCon in goals per game at 2.83 and fifth in points per game at 3.67.
 
• As a team, the Panthers lead the SoCon in ground balls (38.50), points per game (18.83), penalty killing percentage (.818) and goals per game goals (13.33).
 
• They rank second in save percentage (.589), goals against average (9.91), shots on goal (26.17) and shots (44.17), third in shot percentage (.298), face-off percentage (.491) and caused turnovers (11.00), fourth in saves per (13.50), fifth in assists (5.50) and shots on goal per game (25.00).
 
On the Retrievers (1-3, 0-0)
• Trevor Patschorke leads UMBC with 14 points on the season with 10 goals and four assists.
 
• Brett McIntyre adds 10 goals for the Retrievers.
 
• Ryan Frawley is second on the team in points with 12 (9 goals, 3 assists).
 
• Billy Nolan is tops on the team in assists at eight.
 
• P.J. Argiros leads the Retrievers in the face-off 'X' with a 23-51 record and a .450 percentage.
 
• Tommy Lingner mans the cage for UMBC and has a 12.76 goals against average and a .387 save percentage.
 
• The Retrievers lead the America East in shots percentage at .277.
 
• UMBC has logged a .753 clear percentage and 10.25 caused turnovers per game.
 
• Head coach Ryan Moran is in his third season as head coach at UMBC. He has compiled a 12-19 overall record during her time in Baltimore, Md.
