HIGH POINT, N.C.—The No. 16/17 High Point University women's lacrosse (15-2, 7-0 Big South) team hosts Campbell (9-9, 4-3) in a Big South semifinal today at Vert Stadium.
 
The winner will face the winner of Liberty and Winthrop on Sunday at noon in the Big South Championship. The final will be broadcast on ESPN3.
 
Quick Hitters
• High Point finished the regular season on a 14-game win streak, tied for the second-longest in the nation. The Panthers have won 31 out of their last 34 games.
 
• Senior Erica Perrotta was named the Big South Defensive Player of the Year and was the first HPU and Big South student-athlete to be named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. 
 
• Perrotta has set the school records for career goals (142), shots (325) shots on goal (232) and caused turnovers (127) and is second in HPU history with 225 career points, 83 career assists, and 138 ground balls.
 
• In single-season HPU history, Perrotta has set the school record for caused turnovers with 35, while junior Samantha Herman has an HPU-record 71 draw controls this season.
 
• Senior Brooke Stevens is one assist shy of tying the single-season HPU record, while she ranks fourth in career assists (81) and fifth in career points with 165. Stevens' 45 assists this season rank sixth in the nation, while her 77 points rank 22nd in the country.
 
• Freshman Abby Hormes was named the Big South Freshman of the Year and has the fourth-most goals in an HPU single season with 51. Hormes' 60.7 percent shooting percentage ranks third in the country, while her 3.19 goals per game are currently 32nd in the nation.
 
• HPU head coach Lyndsey Boswell was named the Big South Coach of the Year for the third consecutive and fourth time in five years.
 
• Nine Panthers were recognized on the All-Big South Teams. Seniors Olivia Nostrant, Erica Perrotta and Brooke Stevens, junior Samantha Herman and sophomores Ashley Britton and Meredith Chapman were named to the first team. Redshirt-sophomore Hayley Norris and freshman Abby Hormes were recognized on the second team, while sophomore Jill Rall was an honorable mention all-conference selection. Stevens was also named to the Big South All-Academic Team.
 
• High Point is 10-2 all-time in the Big South Tournament, winning the Big South Championship in 2013, 2014 and 2017.

This will be the ninth meeting between the two programs, with High Point leading the all-time series, 8-0. The Panthers were victorious, 18-9, on April 4 in Buies Creek.
 
All-Time Series vs. Liberty
High Point is 8-1 all-time against the Flames, including a 13-4 win on April 7.
 
All-Time Series vs. Winthrop
The Panthers are 6-3 all-time against the Eagles, including a 16-14 win on April 18 in Rock Hill, S.C.
