Liberty defeated Gardner-Webb, 19-8, on April 4 to earn its third-straight win. Brianna McCaffrey (30g, 6a), Michaela Rich (24g, 12a) and Kayla Foster (17g, 19a) each lead the Flames with 36 points.

This will be the ninth meeting all-time between the programs, with HPU leading the series, 7-1. High Point won the last meeting, 20-9, in the 2017 Big South semifinals.
