HIGH POINT, N.C.—The No. 18/19 High Point University women's lacrosse team concludes Big South play Saturday (April 21) at Longwood. First draw at Burger Jackson Field in Farmville, Va., is set for 1 p.m. A win on Saturday would give the Panthers (13-2, 6-0 Big South) the outright regular season Big South title.
 
Quick Hitters
• High Point is 13-2 on the season and has won 12 games in a row after defeating Winthrop, 16-14, on Wednesday (April 18) in Rock Hill, S.C. The Panthers clinched the No. 1 seed in the Big South Tournament and will host the semifinals and final May 4-6 at Vert Stadium.
 
• Senior Brooke Stevens leads the team with 72 points on 28 goals and a team-high 44 assists, which is two shy of the school's single-season record of 46, held by Mackenzie Carroll (2014). Her 2.93 assists per game rank third nationally. 
 
• Senior Erica Perrotta is second on the team with 62 points, 41 goals, 21 assists, 37 draw controls, is tied for first with 31 ground balls and leads the team with 32 caused turnovers.
 
• Freshman Abby Hormes leads the Panthers with 48 goals, which is tied for the fourth-most in HPU single-season history. After a school-record 13 draw controls against Winthrop, junior Samantha Herman leads the team with 54 draws, which is third in single-season program history.
 
• The Panthers rank fourth in the nation in scoring (16.40 goals per game) and fifth in scoring defense (8.60) and has the second-best scoring margin (+7.80). HPU has the fourth-longest win streak in the nation.
 
On the Lancers (7-9, 2-4 Big South)
Longwood fell at Campbell, 20-8, on Wednesday (April 18). Riley Dolan leads the nation in assists with 59 and leads the Lancers with 85 points. Kaitlin Luccarelli leads Longwood with 42 goals.
 
All-Time Series with Longwood
This will be the 11th meeting between the two programs, with High Point having won all 10 previous meetings. High Point was victorious, 19-8, in the latest meeting on April 8, 2017.
 
Next Up
The Panthers travel to Long Island on Thursday (April 26) to take on Hofstra in the regular-season finale at 7 p.m.
