HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University men's lacrosse team heads to Colorado to take on Air Force on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. EST in search of its fourth straight victory.

The Panthers (4-7, 4-1) are looking to clinch a spot in the Southern Conference Championship with a win. Meanwhile, the Falcons (5-8, 3-2) also are in position to make a run into the four-team field.

Quick Hitters
• Freshman Asher Nolting is a repeat performance of his four-goal, three-assist outing against VMI from becoming the first Panther and SoCon men's lacrosse player to record a 30-goal, 30-assist campaign. He enters Saturday's contest with 26 goals and 28 assists.

• No player in SoCon history has ever averaged more than 4.71 points per game in league play, but this season Nolting is posting 6.00 points per conference game.

• Nolting and Connor Robinson rank first and second respectively in the SoCon in points per game. They are one of three duos in the nation to lead their conference in points along with Albany's Connor Fields and Tehoka Nanticoke and Sacred Heart's Max Tuttle and Joe Saggese.

• High Point is riding a three-game winning streak and is looking for its first four-game streak since 2016 and fifth in program history.

• Anchoring their winning streak, the Panthers' offense has scored in double figures in nine consecutive contests, which is a new program record.

• Sophomore Davis Sampere has won 32-of-43 face-off attempts in the last two games. His .744 winning percentage in April has raised his mark from .490 to .536, which is good for third in the SoCon and 32nd nationally.

• After accounting for just 33 percent of the team's goals in the first nine games, the midfielders have tallied 23 of the team's 42 goals during the team's three-game streak.

• Led by the senior duo of Robinson (.483) and Chris Young (.457) the Panthers are shooting at a .329 mark this season. That's .022 clear of the previous single-season program record set in 2015 and ranks 17th nationally.

• High Point has climbed into the top-10 in the nation in ground balls per game with 32.09 per outing. That number comes on the heels of finishing 65th in the nation in 2017.

• Junior Tim Troutner Jr. is second in the SoCon posting a .585 save percentage and 9.37 goals-against average during league play.

• Troutner enters Saturday's contest with 16 career wins, which is two shy of Austin Geisler's program record.

• HPU has committed 15 penalties in SoCon play, but has allowed just three EMO goals stopping opponents on 80 percent of its man-down situations.

• Saturday's game matches HPU's SoCon leading offense (12.80 goals per conference game) and Air Force's top defense (7.60 goals allowed per conference game).

Nolting No. 2 Freshman
Inside Lacrosse rated Nolting at No. 2 in its Midseason DI Freshman rankings in a list released on Thursday.

Record Watch
• Nolting's next point will allow him to pass Matt Thistle for HPU's single-season points record entering the game with 54 on the year.

• Robinson is a goal away from posting HPU's seventh 30-goal campaign. Dan Lomas has produced four while Thistle has recorded the other two.

• After racking up 22 ground balls in the last two outings, Sampere needs 21 to tie Jamie Piluso for the HPU single-season record (95).

On-Going Streaks
• Nolting has scored at least three points in 11 consecutive games to begin his career. His current streak is the longest in HPU history.

• Nolting is one of four players nationally to score at least three points in every appearance this season. Yale's Ben Reeves, Hartford's Griffin Feiner and Canisius' Connor Kearnan are the other three to accomplish the feat.

• Robinson has scored at least one goal in 16 consecutive games dating back to April 1, 2017 at Mercer, which is tied for the fourth-longest active streak in the nation. The longest run in program history is Dan Lomas' 23-game stretch with at least one goal.

Saving the Bacon
• Tim Troutner Jr. is second among active players nationally with 11.65 saves per game in his career.

• This season, Troutner is posting 9.91 saves per game while Zach Tuell is tallying 3.31 saves per contest. Combined the team is averaging 12.55 ranks eighth in the nation in saves per game.

All-Time Series with Air Force
The Panthers and Falcons split the two non-conference meetings, but Air Force has won each of the two matchups since joining the Southern Conference.

Last Time They Met
Last season in Vert Stadium HPU fell behind 11-2 before storming back to cut the deficit to three, 14-11, early in the fourth quarter, but fell 16-11. Chris Young led the offense with three goals on the day.

All-Time Mark Against the SoCon
High Point is 19-11 all-time in conference play between the Atlantic Sun and Southern Conference. In league away games, HPU has posted a 8-6 mark.
