HIGH POINT, N.C.—The No. 20/24 High Point University women's lacrosse team (10-2, 3-0 Big South) travels to Presbyterian for a Wednesday afternoon (April 10) showdown in Clinton, S.C., at 4 p.m.
 
Quick Hitters
• High Point is 10-2 on the season after defeating No. 19/18 Duke, 16-12, Monday night (April 9) at Vert Stadium. After the Blue Devils scored the first two goals of the second half to take an 11-9 lead, the Panthers scored the next five goals and never looked back. It was the Panthers' ninth-consecutive win.
 
• Senior Erica Perrotta recorded three goals against Duke and broke the HPU career-goal record with 130, passing Mackenzie Carroll, who had 129 goals from 2011-14. Perrotta also holds the school records for shots (300), shots on goal (214) and caused turnovers (118).
 
• Junior Samantha Herman has 133 draw controls, one shy of the school record, held by Sara Kuhlman (2011-14).
 
• Perrotta and fellow senior Brooke Stevens are tied for the team lead with 50 points. Stevens has 21 goals and a team-leading 29 points, while Perrotta is second on the club with 32 goals and 18 assists. Freshman Abby Hormes leads High Point with 37 goals after recording a season-high six against Duke.
 
On the Blue Hose (2-11, 0-3)
Presbyterian fell, 21-7, in its last game to Campbell on Saturday (April 7) in Clinton, S.C. Kelly Hyman leads the Blue Hose with 22 points on 17 goals and five assists.
 
All-Time Series with Presbyterian
This will be the 10th all-time meeting between the programs, with High Point leading the series, 9-0.
 
Next Up
The Panthers host Senior Day against Gardner-Webb on Saturday (April 14). First draw at Vert Stadium is set for 3 p.m.
