HIGH POINT, N.C.—The High Point University women's lacrosse team (3-2) hosts No. 21 Notre Dame Wednesday afternoon (March 14). First draw at Vert Stadium is scheduled for 4 p.m.
 
Quick Hitters
• High Point is 3-2 on the season after defeating Marist, 20-9, on March 10 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. This is the third ranked opponent at home for the Panthers so far this season. HPU also hosted No. 7 North Carolina and No. 8/6  James Madison at Vert Stadium.
 
• Senior captain Brooke Stevens tied her career high with six assists while also adding a pair of goals. Fellow senior captain Erica Perrotta scored a career-high six goals against the Red Foxes.
 
• Freshman Abby Hormes registered a season-high four goals against Marist and has three or more goals in four-consecutive contests. Hormes holds a 70.0 percent shooting percentage this season, which ranks seventh in the nation.
 
• Junior Samantha Herman earned five draw controls, grabbed three ground balls and caused three turnovers against Marist. Herman is fifth in the nation in caused turnovers with 2.75 per game.
 
• Senior captain Erica Perrotta leads the Panthers with 22 points, including 15 goals and seven assists. Stevens leads HPU with 15 assists and is second in the nation with 3.00 assists per game.
 
On the Fighting Irish (5-3)
Notre Dame fell at No. 24 Virginia Tech, 9-6, on Sunday (March 11) in Blacksburg, Va., to fall to 5-3 on the season. Notre Dame has won its previous three contests. Nikki Ortega leads the Fighting Irish with 25 points on 15 goals and 10 assists.
 
All-Time Series with Notre Dame
This will be the second meeting all-time between the programs. Notre Dame picked up an 18-4 win in the 2014 NCAA Tournament First Round on May 9, 2014.

The Panthers hit the road to take on Old Dominion on March 21 at 4 p.m. in Norfolk, Va.
