HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's basketball team heads to Farmville, Va. on Tuesday for a 7:00 p.m. contest against Longwood.

The Panthers (13-8) enter the game tied with Radford for third in the Big South with a 7-3 mark. On the other side, the Lancers (3-18) are 1-9 and tied with Winthrop for 10th in the league's standings.

Quick Hitters
• High Point has had fewer turnovers than its opponent in 12 straight games going 9-3 over that stretch. The team is 10-4 when winning the turnover battle and leads the Big South and ranks 54th nationally with a plus-3.43 per game margin.

• During her first season as the team's main point guard, Camryn Brown leads the Big South with a 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio. That 2.0 ratio is the 69th-best mark in the nation.

• The High Point defense is coming alive in conference play ranking first in the league in steals (11.4/game) and turnover margin (+7.00/game).

• Emma Bockrath - the 2016-17 Big South Player of the Year - has scored in double figures 33 times in 48 career contests against Big South Conference foes. Those 33 games include nine 20-point outbursts.

• Since the beginning of conference play, the Panthers have knocked down 131-of-172 free throws (.762), which is the second-best percentage in the Big South.

• Sharing the wealth is key for the Panthers this season with the team posting a 12-3 record when at least three players score in double figures.

• Kat Harris has made 29 consecutive free throws and is 34-of-36 from the charity stripe in Big South action.

• Bockrath ranks in the top-10 in the Big South in points (seventh), rebounds (sixth), field goal percentage (10th), assists (ninth) and steals (first).

• Head coach DeUnna Hendrix has 71 Big South wins, which make her the eighth winningest coach in league history. Meanwhile, her .670 winning percentage is the second-highest mark among coaches with 100 regular season league games.

• The Panthers are 71-35 against conference foes under Hendrix. That's the second-best mark in the league during her tenure at High Point trailing only Liberty.

• During Hendrix's six years roaming the HPU sideline, the team has gone 33-20 in away conference games.

• A win would clinch at least a .500 Big South road record for the third straight season making the team 5-1 away from the Millis Center this season against league foes.

The Hunt for Win No. 100
Hendrix sits at 99 career wins with all of them coming at HPU. Hendrix is already third in all-time wins and would join Tooey Loy as the only two 100-win coaches since the program moved to D-I competition.

Race to 1,000 Career Points
Harris and Bockrath enter Tuesday's contest neck-and-neck in a race to 1,000 points. Bockrath took the lead and moved into the top-10 in HPU's Division I scoring list with 970 points while Harris is 11th with 952. The last time HPU had teammates reach 1,000 points in the same season was when Cheyenne Parker and Erin Reynolds reached that threshold during the 2012-13 campaign.

Reserves Needed
• High Point is 11-1 when the bench outscores its opponent's reserves and 2-7 when that margin is reversed.

• HPU averages a 23.5-14.0 edge in its wins and a 19.5-13.6 deficit in losses. Harris has accounted for 72 of the 110 bench points in the team's seven losses.

Shoot to Get Hot, Shoot to Stay Hot
• The Panthers lead the Big South and rank 37th nationally drilling 36.5 percent of their three-point attempts this season. Incredibly, that's 0.8 percent higher than that season when the team's 35.7 percent mark broke the program's single-season record.

• HPU entered last week having made at least one three-pointer in 91 straight contests. However, the team shot a combined 0-of-23 from downtown in their last two games.

• Brown shot 45.5 percent from three-point land in non-conference play, but has struggled to get shots to fall in conference play hitting 13-of-55 (.236).

All-Time Series with Longwood
High Point has won 13 in a row over Longwood and is 11-0 in the series since the Lancers joined the Big South Conference. The Panthers are 8-6 when playing the Lancers in Farmville, Va.

Scouting the Lancers
Longwood will lean heavily on Autumn Childress who leads the team in scoring (10.2/game) and rebounding (10.1/game). Longwood won its second conference game, but have dropped eight straight leading into Tuesday's showdown in Willett Hall.

What to Watch
High Point sits in third place in the league in shooting percentage while Longwood is 10th. However, the Panthers shot just 33 percent against Campbell and Liberty over the last two contests.

Last Time They Met
The Purple & White forced 31 turnovers and held Longwood to 31 percent shooting in a 62-41 victory in the Millis Center on Jan. 20. Bockrath led the Panthers with 15 points and three assists in the victory.

Next Up
The Panthers return home to host UNC Asheville on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in a game broadcasted by Stadium.
