HIGH POINT, N.C.— The High Point University women's lacrosse team (1-1) hosts is second top-10 team in a row when No. 8/6 James Madison comes to town on Saturday (Feb. 24). First draw at Vert Stadium is set for 1 p.m.
 
Quick Hitters
• High Point is 1-1 on the season after falling to No. 7 North Carolina, 14-10, on Feb. 16 at Vert Stadium.
 
• Senior captain Darla Poulin scored five goals against the Tar Heels and was named Big South Offensive Player of the Week.
 
• Fellow senior captain Brooke Stevens assisted on four goals and freshman Abby Hormes tallied her first collegiate hat trick.
 
• Senior Erica Perrotta has 61 career assists, one shy of third all-time at HPU. Samanthan Brown ('18) is currently third with 62.
 
• Perrota is fourth all-time at HPU with 108 career ground balls. She is four shy of second place, held by Sara Kuhlman ('14) and Christie Dougherty ('14).
 
On the Dukes (3-0)
JMU defeated UConn, 21-9, on Feb. 18 to move to 3-0 on the season. Elena Romesburg and Kristen Gaudian lead JMU with 14 goals and one assist each.
 
All-Time Series with JMU
This will be the fourth meeting all-time between the two programs, with James Madison leading, 2-1. The home team has won each of the previous three meetings, including JMU prevailing, 15-4, on Feb. 25, 2017 in Harrisonburg, Va.
