Throughout the summer, get to know more about the seniors of the 2017 High Point University women's soccer team.
Next up, midfielder
Becca Rolfe from Nashville, Tenn.
What is one piece of advice for the incoming players?
Don't ever take this incredible place and team for granted. Soak in every moment and always be present. You're never going to get these four years back, so go out of your comfort zone, and build relationships that will last forever. Don't be afraid to fail, because that's when you learn the most. When you find yourself getting stressed out, take a deep breath, and remember how lucky you are.
Where is your favorite spot on High Point University's campus?
I really like the amphitheater behind Cottrell. It's a nice, relaxing place to go and just sit after a long day. It is also beautiful at night when it is all lit up. I know this sounds nerdy, but I also really love the Learning Commons on the third floor of Wanek. I like to study up there next to the big window, and there is a really cool view of campus.
What you will miss the most about High Point University?
There are so many things I'm going to miss about this place. As I'm approaching my senior year, I look back and remember those special little moments, such as
Paige Rombach singing in front of the whole team while everyone was crying laughing. Or the time that
Savannah Stoughton sent me flowers all the way from California. It's an incredible feeling to be surrounded by such an amazing support system. I am going to miss these people here that have made my experience so great.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can juggle lemons pretty well, and I can say the alphabet backwards really fast.
Do you have any pre-game superstitions?
Lindsay Elsen and I always play "next song describes" using Pandora to determine our fate for that game. Also,
Michele Micciche and I always do headers back and forth using the little plastic balls we throw out at home games. We have to get at least 30 before we can leave the locker room.
