HIGH POINT, N.C. - Five High Point University women's soccer student-athletes have been named to the College Sport Communicators Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, the CSC announced on Tuesday.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sport Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
#0 Aubrey McKessy, Gr., Goalkeeper
McKessy capped her collegiate career with a career-high 14 saves in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the University of Virginia. On top of that, she was named the Big South Tournament MVP while making the championship winning save in penalty kicks. Over the course of the season, McKessy started and played in 19 games, making 85 saves in net, totaling 1,730 minutes between the sticks. She started the season recording a career-high 13 saves versus Virgina Tech, and ended the season beating that record with 14 saves against the Cavaliers. McKessy is on her way to earning her masters in Communications and Business Leadership.
#9 Peyton Gilmore, Sr., Forward
Playing in all 20 games, making eight starts, Gilmore scored two goals during her 862 minutes on the pitch. Both of her goals came in back-to-back games in the Big South Conference Tournament. Gilmore will graduate with a Sport Management degree.
#15 Bella Burr, R-So., Midfielder
Burr played in all 20 games, making 19 starts in her first season in the Purple & White. Scoring a team leading five goals, two of those being game winners in 1,298 minutes between the lines. All five goals came in the midst of conference play, while two goals came against UNC Asheville (Oct. 18). Burr was named to the Big South First Team All-Conference as well as being tabbed to the Big South All-Tournament team. Burr is a finalist to be selected to the CSC Academic All-America Team because of her hard work on the field as well as off the field, maintaining a 4.0 GPA as she works her way to earning a finance degree.
#17 Morgan Wilcox, So., Forward
Wilcox played in all 20 games, making 12 starts for the Panthers. She scored the first goal of the season for HPU, and went on to score two more, adding in one assist to cap her sophomore season. In 949 minutes on the pitch, Wilcox recorded 12 shots on goal, tallying a season-high four SOG at Charleston Southern (Oct. 4). Wilcox not only puts in the work between the lines, but also in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA while studying Design Studies with a Concentration in Graphic Design.
#18 Kari Powell, R-So., Midfielder
Starting in all 20 games played in, Powell was a staple of the Panthers offense scoring two goals, and playing 1,534 minutes on the pitch. Powell scored the late equalizer in the Big South Conference Championship game to even the match at one with 47 seconds remaining in regulation. Powell was named to the Big South All-Tournament Team. She is working on earning her degree in finance.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 16, 2025.
