Throughout the summer, get to know more about the seniors of the 2017 High Point University women's soccer team.
Next up, defender
Paige Lloyd, from Fairfax, Va.
What has been your most memorable moment as an HPU soccer player?
It's a tie between making my PK in the Big South Championship my freshman year or breaking my nose this past season.
What are your plans for when you graduate?
After I graduate I plan on making a cross-country road trip for three months, visiting all our beautiful national parks, hiking and camping! Then I'll either go to grad school or find a job; I'm thinking about pursuing a career in health care administration.
Where is your favorite place to eat on campus?
My favorite place to eat is Farmers! Shout out to my Farmers Squad!
What you will miss the most about High Point University?
I think I'll miss the sense of community and excellence the most. I find myself wondering why there is trash on the ground when I'm outside of HPU. After I pick it up I think about how grateful I am that the environment at HPU pushes people to be awesome because we really are in an extraordinary place!
Do you have any pre-game superstitions?
Before every game I ask Lyon to braid the top of my hair, then I put my hair into a double pony. I also wear the same sports bra and spandex for each game. But don't worry, I wash them! Finally I always meditate before the game, visualizing what I want to happen and all the good things I've done in the past!
