HIGH POINT, N.C.—The High Point University women's lacrosse team continues Big South play hosting Longwood on Saturday (April 8) at Vert Stadium. First draw is set for 1 p.m.
 
Quick Hitters
• High Point (8-3, 2-0 Big South) picked up its eighth-consecutive win, defeating Winthrop, 20-10, on Wednesday afternoon (April 5) at Vert Stadium. Junior Brooke Stevens scored a career-high 10 points on four goals and six assists, while fellow junior Darla Poulin added a career-high six goals.
 
• Stevens' 10 points against Winthrop was the second-most in a single game in school history. Poulin's six goals tied the mark for second-most in a single game in HPU history.
 
• Senior Christina Del Sesto and junior Erica Perrotta each caused five turnovers against Winthrop, which is also tied for the second-most in a single contest in HPU history.
 
• Stevens leads the Panthers with 41 points on 24 goals and a team-high 17 assists. Poulin and senior Samantha Brown share the team lead with 27 goals.
 
• Del Sesto has 74 career caused turnovers, which is second in school history, while junior Erica Perrotta has 73 and sits in third.
 
• A win Saturday would give the Panthers nine-consecutive wins, which would match the second-longest stretch in school history. The school record is 10 wins in a row, set in 2014.
   
All-Time Series with Longwood
Longwood comes into the game with a 5-7 record after falling to Liberty, 18-8, on Wednesday in Farmville, Va. High Point leads the all-time series, 9-0. With Saturday's game, Longwood will become HPU's most common opponent in program history.
