BOILING SPRING, N.C.—The High Point University women's lacrosse game opened Big South play with a 20-1 win at Gardner-Webb Saturday afternoon in Boiling Spring, N.C.

The Panthers (7-3, 1-0 Big South) outshot the Runnin' Bulldogs (0-11, 0-1), 30-8 and led in ground balls, 17-8, and draw controls, 15-7. High Point scored the first 11 goals of the game and led 14-1 at halftime.

"I'm really happy for the team to get this first conference win on the road," HPU head coach
Lyndsey Boswell said. "We had several contributors today in all aspects of the game, so I'm really proud of everyone for stepping in and competing for a full 60 minutes. We are excited to be back at home on Wednesday night."
