HIGH POINT, N.C.—The High Point University women's lacrosse team opens Big South Conference play Saturday (April 1) at Gardner-Webb at 1 p.m.
 
Quick Hitters
• High Point (6-3) picked up its sixth-consecutive win at Drexel, 11-10, on Sunday (March 26) in Philadelphia. Junior Brooke Stevens had a career-high five goals, while senior Samantha Brown recorded six points (3g, 3a).
 
• Brown was named the Big South Offensive Player of the Week after scoring nine goals and four assists in two games last week. Brown has recorded three or more points in six-consecutive games.
 
• Freshman Jill Rall was named the Big South Defensive Player of the Week after making 24 saves in two games. She saved a school-record 16 shots against La Salle.
 
• Junior Poulin leads the Panthers with 31 points on 19 goals and 12 assists, while sophomore Samantha Herman leads the team with 33 draw controls, 19 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers.
 
• With four assists last week, Brown has 44 career assists and sits in fifth place in program history.
 
• Perrotta and senior Christina Del Sesto both currently has 67 career caused turnovers, which tied for second in school history.
   
All-Time Series with Gardner-Webb
The Runnin' Bulldogs come into the weekend with a 0-10 record after falling to Furman, 21-5 on March 23 in Boiling Springs, N.C. The Panthers lead the all-time series, 2-0, and won the last meeting, 19-3, on April 6, 2016 in High Point.
